Message from CJ's Family
When CJ was born we learned that he had Trisomy 13, a rare chromosome disorder that resulted in him having profound congenital heart defects. After birth he was immediately transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, where he spent his first 26 days in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. On April 10th, CJ was the first infant ever to be released from CHOA on a high flow oxygenated system. Gratefully, Laurel Conneely, CJ’s aunt was a pediatric home health care nurse and flew into Atlanta to train Chad and Maggie on this specialized equipment so that they could make it possible to have CJ released from Egleston and bring him home. CJ lived with his loving family in the comfort of their home for his final 14 days and he passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents Chad and Maggie on April 24, 2008. CJ left a legacy of miraculous love and his family is grateful to see the ripple effect of his love grow on with each new tree that is planted. Trees produce oxygen which is the one thing that CJ struggled to get enough of while here on earth and trees beautify and grace the earth as CJ’s love will grace our hearts forever. 40 Days~40 Nights~ FOREVER! |
...to grant to those who mourn in Zion- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
~Isaiah 61:3
I Carry Your Heart with Me
by E.E. Cummings
I carry your heart with me...
I carry it in my heart,
I am never without it.
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows,
here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life.
Which grows hither than soul can hope or mind can hide and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart...
I carry your heart with me,
I carry it in my heart.
